Guides for protein, macros and calorie planning

Use these guide pages to understand what the PrimeMacros calculator estimates, where the model is useful and where a personal review matters more than any formula.

How PrimeMacros works

Energy needs are estimated from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and your selected activity level.

Protein targets are based on body weight, selected planning range and optional adjusted-weight logic for higher BMI values.

Macro targets are planning estimates, not a diagnosis or an individualized nutrition prescription.

Use the calculator carefully if

you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18 years old

you have diabetes, kidney disease, eating-disorder symptoms or another condition that affects nutrition planning

your training, medication or health situation changes faster than formulas can reflect
